Lincoln University Recreation Centre

The Lincoln Event Centre boosts a wide range of recreation programmes for all ages. From Baby Gym to roller skating, Tai Chi, spin, yoga and Zumba. Court hire is available to shoot basketball hoops, play casual badminton and tennis. The venue offers spaces for function and meetings, weddings, rock concerts and major indoor sporting fixtures.

Lincoln Golf Club

The Lincoln Golf Club is a challenging picturesque and well prepared 9 hole course situated on Boundary Road in the University town of Lincoln Canterbury. The Club has received many positive comments from those that have played it. Members have always taken great pride in the course with many features added over the years. The friendly atmosphere enjoyed in the Clubhouse following the Club’s competitions makes this Club an excellent one to experience. New members are made welcome and encouraged to play in the Club’s competitions, drawn fours are a key aspect in enabling new members to meet other members of the Club.

Lincoln Rugby Club

The Lincoln Rugby Club has an enviable reputation for creating a strong band of representative players in all grades. With a history dating back to 1897, the club went through many years of formation and disestablishment until its affiliation with the Ellesmere Sub-Union in 1931. Lincoln first won the senior competition in 1943 and has gone on to win various competition grades over the years and are consistent winners within the Ellesmere and Mid Canterbury Combined competitions.
